Celery.....success or failure???
It is huge, it's taking over the garden, breeding earwigs.
Does it need to go, can I even get it out of the ground? Should I save it for seeds?
Exhibit #2
Oregano and Thyme......is this a failure, or can it someday succeed?
It........just.........can't............get...........them.........going.
Do I need to ditch this effort and plant something worthy of this soil space? Should I see if this baby thyme can make it through. It is taking forever. I will probably just re-seed it until it WORKS. I was planning on growing my own herbs to dry for seasonings.
Exhibit #3
Beets..............are these doomed to fail now that the summer is upon us with extreme heat?
Can you even see them? Too bad these little guys got such a late start, I can wait though. They sure look ugly, but it is underground what counts in the long run.
Good Things
Let us focus on the positive now.........plants that are being harvested, plants that are growing well.
The berries have great promise. |
The corn has a good start. |
The grapes are pulling through. |
Yeah, lettuce for harvest. |
Strawberries to eat! |
Peas and Kale, with some garlic mixed in........I feel the need of a salad! |
Snap Peas, it is like they grow overnight! |
My pear tree is LOADED. |
My plum tree is bountiful! |
